Which ceremony?

Say goodbye the way you want to

A funeral service

When you lose a loved one, it can be difficult to think clearly about the best end-of-life ceremony for them. As a professional celebrant I can help you navigate the many choices and questions you may have.

The ceremony could be a full burial service and graveside blessing, or a shorter crematorium service.

A ceremony for ashes

If there has already been a cremation, you may wish to have a ceremony to scatter the ashes. This can be in a meaningful place, and at a suitable time for friends and family members to come together, where appropriate words can be a way to begin the healing process.

Alternatively, you may wish to inter the ashes of a loved one in a garden of remembrance.

A memorial

A memorial service takes place separately some time after the funeral. The individual is remembered, their life is celebrated and their loss acknowledged.

These ceremonies are created in the same way, and can be at a venue of your choosing.

A celebration of life

Whichever ceremony you choose, whether it be solemn, respectful, exuberant or unconventional, at a place of worship or a venue of your choice, I will support you to realise your vision.

The result will be a celebration that honours your loved one, acknowledges their profound influence on the lives of those they knew and loved, and celebrates their life in a way that feels right.

Hi Piers, I just want to say thank you so much for today – it was the perfect send off! I am sure my mum would be really pleased with everything. Thank you again from all of us.

L, Gloucestershire

The service you provided for us was lovely and thoughtful. You captured the essence of Barry as my husband and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather perfectly. All the family and friends loved all that you said about him and we all heard things that he'd kept to himself. It was beautiful and enlightening at the same time.

M, Forest of Dean

I just wanted to drop you a line and say from myself and the rest of the family a massive thank you for yesterday. Your delivery of the service was second to none and allowed the day to go without incident. We feel we have sent mum off in the correct way and she would have loved your service too. So once again it has been an absolute pleasure working with you and a massive thank you.

We would all like to thank you for a beautiful service. It was perfect. Thank you.

I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for helping to make Phil’s Celebration of Life so amazing. Of course there was sadness, but there was so much warmth, love and laughter. The eulogy you wrote captured him perfectly.

L, Monmouthshire

The eulogy delivered in honour of my Grandfather was a moving and heartfelt tribute that truly captured the essence of a life well-lived. With grace, warmth, and sincerity, Piers painted a vivid picture of my Grandad's character and the impact he had on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Overall, the eulogy honoured Grandad with dignity and grace. It was a fitting farewell, one that reflected the heart of who he was, and offered great comfort and reflection.
